Although stipends are paid directly to students, they essentially provide the faculty mentor with a fully-funded research assistant and cover up to $12,000 in tuition, fees, and insurance.
These awards are highly competitive—outside ~20 elite schools, only about 5% of applicants win. The success rate for students completing our course is four times higher. Even those who don’t win will gain scientific communication skills, conquer imposter syndrome, and craft personal narratives they can use for applications to other programs.
