We have annotated some winning essays to show you how they used the plots and storyboards. Yellow highlighted text shows you how the writer ran the plot through the essay. Orange boxes show you where each section of the storyboard appears. Blue boxes and highlighting show you how the writer is setting up for holistic review (i.e. how they create connections across application elements to make an overarching argument that they reviewer will easily remember).

Two video lectures, one on the MPG Essay and one on the Research Plan, will guide you through how the essays used the plots and storyboards to construct their essays. Most importantly, you will get to see how winners varied the generic storyboard to make it work for their research and discipline.
